Ive been using PT for quite a few years , but last night I decided to take the plunge and download Logic Pro X. Because its from the app store , I downloaded it to my Mac Pro (running Mountain Lion) and my MB Pro (Mavericks) . It installed and linked up to my Presonus Studiolive no problem on my MB Pro. BUT... my Mac Pro , which has PT LE8 on it and all of my third party plugins...it was..not so smooth . It takes about 15 minutes for the program to load and then it says the coremidi cant be found .
Bypass all of that , once I am in a session , It literally sees NO 3rd party plugs. My main concerns were SSD (which uses Kontakt) , Peavey Revalver MK III.V (which says its 64 bit) and my Waves SSL bundle (which also says 64 bit) . Do I need to move any files to make these recognizable by LPX ? Any insight here would be GREATLY appreciated.

(BTW , the main reason I went with Logic Pro X is because I wanted to use my Studiolive console as my interface and I didnt want to drop $699 to upgrade Pro Tools)

Thanks in advance!!

Old versions of protools like that use RTAS plugin format, while Logic uses AU format. Logic cannot use RTAS plugins. Some of your plugins may have AU in the installation package, so try re-installing if they do, and make sure the AU plugins go into Logic's plugin folder.
