I couldn't resist the print and it was the only lower cost LP hardshell case I found with padding in the lid of the case. It's my first LP (a copy) and I needed something besides the junk gig bag it came with so that seemed better than average for the price tag. More padding vs a standard Epi case or something. Hopefully it's decent but maybe you've got a horror story you can share with me. The material maybe looks a little cheap. I'll report back when it shows up. FecEx will probably think a guitar is inside and steal the damn case....

I have one of the Eden LP cases - no leopard lining in mine though.
They look great but aren't especially sturdy, even compared to standard Gibson cases.

Perfectly good for home use, storage or occasional gigging. Just not built for working musicians.
I wouldn't want to trust a good LP to one when anybody else was moving the guitars.

One thing I like about this brand - they still make teardrop cases to fit Fender type axes.
Again, light-duty, not for the road. But uncommon and cool.

Thanks for the feedback. Sounds like it will fit the bill. I have a Gibson case for my gigging guitar, it's been pretty decent. I actually had one of the Epiphone 335 cases for a while and to tell the truth it did a pretty good job over the course of about 6 or 7 hundred gigs. Granted,I was just tossing it on top of other gear in a car not stacking stuff in a van or jamming it in a cargo trailer.

I don’t think it’s an Eden but I had to chuckle at a tweed LP case when I got my Orville shipped in one-

Sturdy as hell, though!

I have a couple of Epi hard cases. IMO they're about as sturdy as the Gibsons.

Case prices are stupid. Plus $40 or more to ship it. I recently bought a Musicians Friend house brand case off Ebay for like 120 with free shipping. Its ok but the standard Fender HSC is much nicer. I have moved to nice gig bags for most of my stuff.

I just factor in the cost of a case when I buy the guitar.

I've had two 335 shape Epi cases so far. One was all good but the other lost a latch. The latches are crimped into the latch plates so if they snag on something the can loosen and there isn't really a way to rectify that because there is no access and the latch plates are riveted into the case under the case lining. Not worth fixing. Had a couple cheaper cases go down like that tbh but otherwise offered fairly solid protection for the money. Never had any damage or anything. I just need something to protect it in case the dogs knock into it.

My Epi cases never went on the road so they haven't been put to the acid test.

Latches & handles always seem to be the weak link, even on pretty good cases.
But as you say, usually when one of 'em goes the case is still usable.

About ten of my cases are pre-1980, and I think only one of 'em still has all its latches intact and working. Ironically, it's a 70s 'chainsaw' case - they were notorious for broken latches and that design only uses three so losing one is a bigger deal than it would be on cases with four or five.

Can you recommend one for gibson explorer?
I only know Skb...but it is very expensive

Gator makes a pretty nice case. Kinda looks like the economy road case is $150 at Sweetwater. $220 for the flight case at which point you are talking Gibson case money. I guess you have to decide how rugged your case needs to be and go from there. The flight case has a dang LED inside of it. I've had a Gator flight case for a bass previously. It was a damn nice case.

Got the case a few minutes ago.

Outside looks great, like a golden/bronze faux alligator covering. Inside the material is exceedingly soft, like some kind of child's stuffed toy or woobie blanket. I call it "low resolution" leopard print cause it's kind of a blurry print. It doesn't strike me as something that will hold up that well. Kinda cheap looking which is what I was expecting. It does fit very snugly around the guitar body.

Case has four latches, but they are the somewhat cheap Epiphone style crimped in latches that can come loose if they get jammed hard on something. Nice to have the fourth latch on the back of the case lid for some added security. Case is marked "made in china" inside. Overall fit of the guitar..., great at the body, BUT not enough padding in the lid near the neck/case storage area. It's still moving around slightly in there when you shake the case. A thicker 50's neck would fit it tighter. Might just toss a folded bandana in there when I close the case to tighten that spot up since I usually keep one in my case anyways. I'd rate it 4 stars considering the price point. Would purchase again, but not if I needed serious protection or something extremely rugged. I imagine for jams and rehearsals and car rides to gigs it'll work just fine.

I've had a couple of cases over the years where I kept a sock or polishing cloth over the neck rest to tighten up the fit.
