I picked up a really nice Floyd Rose intonation tool from Skyscraper guitars

I really didn't like the key tool from Stew Mac, mine kept popping off the Floyd tail and wouldn't hold full tension on the saddle and adjust at the same time. The Stew Mac tool was all around a pain in the ass to use. I watched one of Skyscraper guitars videos and thought his design was well built and more user friendly. He list's them on his website and Amazon if interested.

I finally got around to using this Skyscraper intonation tool on the installation of my new 1984 Floyd Rose and the tool works flawlessly for quick setup and intonation.

I wanted to wait until I used it for an actual review. Nothing at all like fighting with that Stew Mac tool. The tool works under tension perfectly whether you are adjusting for flat or sharp strings during the intonation process and it holds the saddle perfectly while you tighten the baseplate allen screws down.

If you intonate your own Floyds I highly recommend this tool and I didn't even mind the color! What a great tool!:2thumbsup:

I bought a Key, it was garbage. I still have it, but I'd rather do Floyd intonation the old way than use that contraption. I bought a bunch of tools from Skyscraper just a couple days ago, but no Floyd tools.

If the tailpiece is parallel to the baseplate I would think it should work just fine. Probably not on the Gotoh 1996 because the fine tune tailpeice is angled down.

I would say to be 100% sure send the guy at Skyscaper an email about the Schaller.

I pretty happy with the Skyscraper but that Red Bishop looks pretty trick as well. I may pick that one up as well just to have around.

Whatever you do if you read this DO NOT get the Stew Mac KEY floyd tool............it really really sucks just as Matt says.:thumbsdown:
