I Think I Have a Problem

I just bought another phaser pedal. This time it's the Greenhouse Effects Sonic Orb phaser. I might have too many phasers soon. Not sure yet. Maybe is I get another one from Wayne I'll have too many. We'll see.

This one is supposed to be unique because it has a "Q" knob that shifts the frequency of the phase sweep. It's supposed to be the Beez Kneez on bass, so we'll see. I get it in a few days.

so should I not do the Whetstone ?

Yes, I need all the phasers!

I'm pretty sure you're going to do to my favorite phaser what you did to my favorite auto wah. Even if you just made a straight clone with all the knobs and switches, it'll still be better than the Whetstone because it would be in a smaller enclosure and the jacks would be on the top. Fitting that fucking thing on a pedalboard is ridiculous. If you can get it down to the Don Juan Cornelius size, that will be the only thing that will kick that off my board.

For the record: Don Juan Cornelius only lost to the Whetstone on a technicality. I couldn't get a symmetrical sweep to match the rest of them. It still sounded better than the rest, it just came in second by a point.

Unfortunately I don't think fitting it in an enclosure the same size as Don will happen ...... I already tried and ran out of room ...

The Jacks will be on top though ..... the pots will be the top row ... and the toggles on the second row

OK @BeZo ......... it looks like the Whetstone will have the same physical footprint as the Omega Bass OD ....

the knobs will be on the top .... switches in the middle ....

so there will be some room for some cool graphics ............. you got a theme for this one ????? or a name you want to roll with ??

we can call it Bezo's Dry Stones ?

Call it the Big Stone and have the graphics be a mushroom growing between two big rocks.

Talking of phaser addiction I'm scoring this today. Just waiting for my driver to deliver the goods.

And currently have one of these too.

The top one is by a company Ftelectronica out of Italy, and is a Lovetone Doppleganger clone. It's my second go around with this one, first one was stolen along with a whole pedal board and other stuff. Most beautiful sounding phaser ever imo.

I’ve had a EH nano small stone for about 15yrs. Love it. Never experimented with anything else

The Bad Stone really wowed me in my little shootout the other day. The Small Stone was good, but turning the Color switch into a knob lets you dial it in to taste. The Manual setting is cool too, if you like to kneel down and do shoegazey noise bullshit, otherwise it's useless.

I run this one ...... absolutely love it

I've never seen anyone else mention this one before. Analog with digital control and presets. 2,4,6,8,10,12,14, or 16 stages...How many phasers can do that? I really like the envelope follower mode with high gain, but I have to run it in a dry blend to make it work. And the Key input to trigger the envelope with the dry signal.

UPS was late, so I didn't get it before practice tonight. Hopefully it's still on my doorstep when I get home.

I like Duncan Pedals a lot .... especially in this footprint .... I also run the Vapor Trail Deluxe ...one of the best BBD delays I've run into ... it's sets up the same way basically .... All analog signal path with digital control and presets ...
