Sorry Dave ... just had to do it ... :lol: :LOL:

Yeah ... my OCD was kicking in hard and I don't mean the Fulltone pedal!

I always thought the regular black knobs looked a bit out of place as overall styling was so decidedly "Plexi".
I don't mind those black knobs on other models as faceplates and styling is different but looked "off" on my BE ... could be cuz mine's the older one with less knobs ... :D
So I finally got some M-style knobs and the old-school switch rings. Really happy the way it looks now.

Also ... I took a peak under the hood and the build is immaculate! Ultra neat and tidy!
Mine came from George's shop when he was still building them.

The only thing is that it makes it harder to read the settings. For studio use I prefer the black knobs.

I agree the gold round knobs look better on your older BE100. But I'm not sure it would look right with the new 9 knob version. I do like the power and standbye switches better on yours. I have the same toggles on my Splawn and they are way more solid feeling, more stiff, with no wiggle. Now you gotta just replace them black screws on the logo with gold, lol.

iggs, agreed that it looks better now.

erock, killer white BE! I don't go for white amps but that one is kill. Er.

Update: I certainly couldn't leave it well enough alone ... what fun is that!??!?! :lol: :LOL:

I like the stock knobs but they way you have that configured now that is likely the best setup for real live playing and making adjustments in questionable lighting. The white master was well thought out.

Plank Cranker; I think your Small Box make-over looks really great.

I would appreciate if you could give us some advice on how to achieve this;

1. where did you source the Plexi head shell ? How easy was it to install ?

2. how easy is it to replace the knobs without damage face plate ? where did you source the knobs

many thanks !

If youre asking me...I had Bob at Sourmash Cabinets build me the plexi head shell. The Friedman is a little bigger than a stock marshall smallbox, so I had to send him precise measurements etc. He also built the 4x12 cabinet it sits on. He does amazing work! I got the marshall knobs off ebay. They are easy to switch out if you remove the chassis.
