I think we could all use a show like this right now. Literally got tears for how righteous this new Arch Enemy is!

I just can’t not get into her vocals. I liked Angela’s vocal approach much more.

I get that they may have broader appeal going for more singing and playing to her looks but I’m not into it. Vocally the singer from Vintersea is one of the only female singers in this genre that really mixes clean and growls well. She’s a fucking boss love to boot.

Bee Gees vs Arch Enemy... :hys:

Back in the early 80's, I was part of a two man team that installed commercial grade safe in Barry Gibb's FL home. We ended-up partying there the entire night. 8:00 AM the next morning, and we looked like this...:oops:
Wait, you had sex with the dude from the Bee Gees?! I was going to comment on this thread about the times I've seen Arch Enemy live, and the echo the sentiments mentioned in favor of Angela, but this seems more important. Please elaborate!

oh this is a completely different singer than i remember and had no idea jeff loomis joined them

I do like older AE better as well. Alissa is hot as hell, but Angela fit better. I like even older AE with Johan. Heavier, and Christopher Amott leaving after Khaos Legions had me lose some interest.

I read that Angela retired on vocals to manage the band.

She and Michael were actually married from 2003 to 2016.

She manages other bands too. Obscura, Amaranthe, and Michael's side band, Spiritual Beggars, (which is killer old-school rock and roll/stoner).

Amotts solos here are fucking on point though. His tone is soo good. Everything about this song rules and blows away anything they've done in the last 10 years. .

I think female fronted vocalists are being over represented in metal as of recent woke times, but obviously they've been around for a long time. That being said, I enjoy all aspects of Alissa....oh and her voice sounds great here.

In for details of the skid mark.

I think being around Loomis made Mike step up his game.

Yep. Steady decline for me and now zero interest.
