I traded this amp for a 1972 Fender Twin Reverb and a good condition Fender tweed 2X12 cabinet that I immediately sold for $400.00. The guy I traded with told me that the twin didn't work but I found out 22 years later when I finally plugged it in, that it sounded glorious. It was beat up real bad but I ended up getting about $550.00 for it on ebay in 2012. I bought my first Boogie, a Mark IV for $650.00 a couple of days later.

Well it's back. I traded him for a chainsaw. The speakers in it are not good. They work but the cones have rotted away where they attach to the outer frame so I played through my combo's speaker.

It took you 22 years to plug in an amp that you traded for? That is impressive.

I had other Twins in great shape so I just stuck it in a corner of my garage. It was in horrific cosmetic shape, duct tape and all. I also had a half dozen Marshall amps that I preferred. Since then, I've bought about 2 dozen Boogies. I've been playing Boogies ever since. That's why I'm the Markedman.

My cousin had a couple of those all through the 1980s. He still.has one now, think he has a rack mount head too. They're actually pretty decent little.amps, just dated in their tone.

I did look for replacement speakers from G-K and even emailed Eminence, who emailed right back that that was one of the speakers that they no longer make. I'm going to wait a day before I try them as the directions on the flex-spray can said I should.

I replaced my rotted out Pyles about eight years ago. GK still sells them, but that's about the only part on those amps they still support/

I recently plugged into one of those little GK amps and no matter how you set up the knobs, EVERYTHING sounds so 80s coming out of it. Good times!

I love my GK, got it in 1988. I remember Greg Howe getting in line behind my mom and me when I was paying for it. My mom and I knew him then, but hadn't seen him in a few years, so we chatted a bit.

I brought my GK to band practice a while back (my Rush tribute) and we played Big Money, Marathon and Middletown Dreams. Man, that amp nailed the tone. Also helped that I have a coil split pup in my old Kramer Pacer.

I love my GK 250 ML pictured below! As said previously it's instant "Power Windows" "Somewhere in Time" sound.

GK do still sell the cones, but they do take a few months to arrive (8 weeks for me in the UK). Make sure you wire them correctly, I did mine and had phasing issues.

It sounds HUGE (in a SS 80s way) through 2 4x12s but I currently run mine into 2x12 with V30s at 16 ohm. Weird little toaster boxes!
