I really liked it. Much more than the Stiletto. The low end is tight, the rhythm tone is nice and articulate.
The voicing is rather old school but you can find some interesting using the EQ.
I like the Deliverance more but it's a very cool amp.

I used a Les Paul and a Mesa Boogie Stiletto cab with V30 to demo it.

I would like to try one sometime. I played a Deliverance about a year ago and loved it. If I ever went the VHT/Fryette direction again I would definitely go with a Deliverance.

BTW, did you ever switch back to your Dimarzios in the EBMM Petrucci or did you keep the Blackouts? I am super close to pulling the trigger on a set of Bare Knuckle Miracle Mans for mine. I have heard they sound great in basswood guitars.

Yup, I did switch back to the original Dimarzio. I'm not ready for that type of tone I guess :)

It doesnt have a bad sound in it...if only the dirty sounds in the lone star sounded this good!..Its a great amp...I can see people using 2 or 3 of these together for some amazing multi-amp sounds!

Yup, i didn't like the sound of the Lonestar that much but on the other hand, the Electra Dyne was *very* nice.
I can see this amp as a main rhythm sound

Amazing amp! Better sounding than the Deliverance to my ears. The Deliverance is way too stiff and metal like...which I hate.

The Electradyne is a workhorse. Definitely a winner. It can take pedals really well too, lie ridiculously well.

I love my Dyne. Mids dialed back and an EP Boost up front, it kills any Recto for chugging, add the mids in and you're in Bogner Shiva Territory. As opposed to most other amps I owned, the low power mode really sounds great on the Dyne. The reverb is lame, but the cleans are very very good indeed, and it takes pedals well and the loop really works.

I LOVE this amp, and especially the way it responds/bounces when playing it.

oh and almost forgot, it LOOKS awesome, too!!!

I love mine and have managed to hold onto it after flipping other high end amps from Bogner and Diezel which really surprised me. The thing is, you HAVE to try one with a good boost pedal because it gives it that shot in the arm for metal and you won't need to crank it as much. I'm using a BB Preamp with the level maxed and gain low and it rips. It really sounds a lot different from the Rectos and Mark series. I thought I wanted a gainer amp but after trying some JVM's, a Mark V, a few Recto's, I'll stay with the Dyne. It is insanely loud but like others have said, it's hard to make it sound bad while other Boogies are easily made to sound bad. Just remember to BOOST IT with an OD pedal and you'll love it for metal.

I really like mine. It alternates with my Recto as my number 1 amp.

What I like about it is that it retains the basic feel and response that I get out of my Recto, but it excels at the things my Recto isn't particularly good at (dirty clean to mid gain). The two amps combined are a powerhouse with one taking over where the other ends. I'm really adverse to gigging a two amp rig, but whenever I get around to starting my next band I might reconsider.

possible to run 4xEL34 in ED? I thought I read the manual (and I used to read/post heavily on boogie board forum a lot) and it said you can maybe do 2xEL34+2x6L6?

No. 4xEL34 or 4x6L6

Sounds best with 6L6es though.

Old thread. I owned the dyne for a while but got rid of it.
For the non mark tone I now own a 5150 iii mini and love it.

i was looking at the evh 5150 iii 50 watt recently as well. that catherine vid is badass (EVH in studio).

The ED 'kills' my Triple Rec for the chugs? I doubt that, but I'd really like to try one for straight up rock and hard rock though. Seems like the perfect amp for me.
