Check out proaudiostar if you're serious about buying one. They've been having them $250-300 often. Bought a few "open box" as gifts around last Christmas and they were all new unopened in the box.

Do it! I bought a Squier paranormal super sonic with the intention to totally mod it out, but ended up doing nothing to it but slap in some old dimarzio pafs.
Stupid good guitar for the price

I have a Classic Vibe, and it's great.

It did come with sucky hardware and electronics, though.

I highly encourage it! My Squier hangs in there with the best of them.

Just love the look of it. Very classy looking. I'm sure it will need work but damn it's pretty. And I'm a straight maple neck kinda guy....That gold guard and the bound neck with the block inlays.....   plus I like that shade of red.....?

I have a Squire Esquire that I slapped a Duncan Hot Rails and some Gotoh hardware in that is now a Metal machine which looks like some grandpa's guitar, LOL. It's overall nice, but the body has a really nasty seam from mismatching pieces. Other than that, great guitar. I sometimes reach for it over my Gibson.

Late 90’s Vista series (Japanese) and Vintage Modified Squiers are legit.
