Been waiting almost 2 months for a set of damn pickups. Ordered direct and came in a week. Communication is absolute shit from the dealer as well. Rant over.
Which dealer was it? I'm considering buying a new set of BKPs myslef... Previously I ordered them direct (i took 2-3 weeks) but I see Axe Palace sells them for cheaper than if you order them direct from BKP (I'm paying in US dollars and the GBP/$ rate sucks if you pay in $!!). 2 months wait time is a joke though...
It's not worth the few bucks you save, had the same experience with AP. It seems like they wait to bundle a few orders together before they send it in.
Do not order from Axe Palace. Bad experience for me. When it comes to BKP, always order direct. Why go through a middle man? Maybe you save like $20 or something. But it's more hassle.
Thanks for info, I was actually about to pull the trigger soon!! I also forgot to take the VAT discount out of the price on the BKP website since it's outisde the EU, price difference will be even smaller... It's a shame there isn't a better distributor for the US because the exchange rate is really harsh for us.
One man boutique operations can only go so fast. A couple months isn't uncommon. Having said that, you might want to ping them to make sure they got your order. I ordered from Motor City once and it took a couple months, but he would keep me up to date if I inquired.
Dealer is different. They shouldn't sell pickups they don't have.
I definitely think they wait to bundle multiple orders. I tried to go through a dealer but suspected that some of my selected options weren't actually available. Contacted BKP a week later and they didn't even have the order. Fumbled around with the dealer for another week to straighten out the options, and BKP still didn't actually have the order.
You know dealers really need to realize this kind of crap. Buddy of mine tried to support a local business and ordered a bike instead of online. Wait time was going to be 6 weeks and communication from them on order status was terrible.
