It could be good, just delion what you plan to do. The bridge would likely clean up a lot in a sonic cleaner (for jewelry) the frets and neck are the big question for me.

The pickups will suck, the pots are cheap to replace. The switch is likely salvageable with deoxit.

Clean up the fretboard and oil it, get some really fine cut rubbing compound/finish restorer and buff the hell out of it and it could be a killer guitar. I would check the knife edges on the trem though, but if you are good with a file, they are repairable.

Don't know on price though.

Didn't notice that the switch was broken. There is another $15.

man...i LOVED those guitars when they first came out.

thinking about offering 75$...

replacing the following: pots, switch, and maybe pups (assuming they don't work, but would likely want something else in there), probably the screws and trim rings on the pups especially if i put new pups in

as long as the bridge works, the dirt don't bother me too badly, but it does show a lot of rust and such. the micro-tuners may be rusted-over..

thanks for the reply

If it were where I am located, I would happily snag it for $80.

My guess is that some of that rust and oxidation could have been hurricane related. That area got hit pretty hard late last year. Could spell bad news for the neck but worth a shot if it looks straight.

Bring a good straight edge. I am totally serious. I have done it a few times before.

yea...New Bern got slammed..and that's actually a good point, and one of the questions i was going to ask. Exposure is one thing, but submersion is a different animal, though to me that looks more like exposure not submersion. of course that said it could still be f'd...the air gets pretty salty down there, and during that hurricane, it was nasty
