Ibanez ts808DX ... Blindly pulled the trigger on this.

Has anyone played with a TS808DX yet??!?!

I saw this thing for sale online and bought It on the spot. There are demos online of it and the boost before the pre sounds rad. I've always ran a ts9 but I've always liked to run a boost in the loop as well. I'm hoping this takes care of both...

What's the boost? Clean?
Does it bring back all the bass that's cut by the TS side? Haha

I'll know more after I get my hands on it next week(Just bought it). The videos I've seen definitely show the boost as a clean boost. The specs are 26db of boost actually. You can put the boost before or after the ts9 circuit to. Post was decent on the videos but pre sounds phenomenal.

There aren't any videos of this amp with high gain amps though.... I will throw it in front of a proper 100 watter when it gets in, mic it up and throw the vid on here.
 
Considering I use a Tubescreamer as a boost, the boost option is kind of funny. Looks like a double boost pedal to me. Always liked the Tubescreamer pushing an amp about to breakup, gain channel, or another pedal, versus as the only dirt into a clean amp.

Anyway, hope you like it and can post some clips. :)
 
I got it today and threw it on my pedal board tonight. I didn't get to tweak it that much but it's a winner right out of the box. Very transparent and the boost works wonderfully to fatten up what the 808 tends to thin.

LOL, I'm in the process of setting up a interface and DAW with my laptop. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have it mic'd and recorded.
