Mr Larry is on the forum, Novosibir is his username.
Here I am, but please no "Mr" in front of my name, because I'm just a guy like you all, a freak, a sound freak, a guitar sound freak

Larry

I've actually played thru your Larry Dino939 amp, Sir-Larry.

Quite a beast! One of the tightest amps I've ever played - the notes almost beat you to the strum!

I am humbled that "the man" visited and replied to my thread.
Why not! I'm not someone 'special'!

There are people, who're baking overwhelming tasty pizzas.
Some other are painting awesome pictures or are playing guitar like devil in heaven.
Again others are designing the nicest houses you can dream of.
And I - besides some others - are building nice sounding amps.

I think, that everyone can be a genius in his way - nothing surprisingly!

Thanks for making such a killer amp. Even my 3 year old daughter likes Iced Earth's tone.
Awesome! Still wait a year, and then buy her a guitar

I actually had a chance to see them at the Norva in Norfolk Virginia last year. I was about 10 feet from the stage and they where even better live!! John's tone was priceless!!

Larry, do you know if the other Larry used a Dino for the Alive in Athens live album, or its another amp?? and do you know which cabinet they use/used ?? :D

Last year I remember Jon had a bogner 4x12, but for Troy Seele I dont remember what gear he had, beside that cool suhr.

If I recall right, Larry was using an SLO 100 on AIA. Jon was actually using EMG pickups at that show.

Larry Tarnowski got a DINO933 (a former slightly simpler version of the 939) in 1998, but this amp was too concrete, not smeary enough for his liking, so one or two years later he switched to a SLO100, which he also used for Alive in Athens.

Jon does have (and loves) some JCM800 4x12" 300W straight Marshall cabs with the Celestion's G12T75 fitted, but on tour he only carries the amp heads and almost always is renting the cabs from a local store or from the backline company. He's always looking for the straight 300W Marshall cabs, but if there are none, then of course he's taking something different. And by any means, the Bogner 4x12" is a great sounding cab, so why not.

That would be really cool to have a Larry Amplification section.

Just got my new FJA Marshall and its a Killing machine as well.
Compliments that Brutal Engl tone. In a BRUTAL MARSHALL tone.
Best of both worlds.
