It's all in the gum. I wonder if it is Mr. Bubble or what? Could be a wad of Gummie Bears though. I am going to try this out next time.

He's obviously playing the part for show. EVH did the same thing -- Fat Kirk is just mimicking EVH's face during the LWAN solo.

Well I guess he's just having fun with it and he seems like a really big VH fan. I watched another video from that guy and he seems pretty down to Earth with not much smug attitude. Maybe his stage presence just rubs you the wrong way, but non-musicians out in the crowd love that stuff.
 
I was at that show....think I saw this guy in the front row.......
