Let's say you won the lottery or came across a bunch of funds that you were free to spend on gear.

Would you get just a couple pieces that maybe you've always wanted or never could afford? Or would you just go all out and become a "collector"? I think I would build myself many rigs. I gas for a different amp almost daily, and then I picture having the amp but not the matching cabs and I get even more frustrated.

Pretty sure I would buy a Marsha/Naked setup with two Marshall 1960BX 412's, two Bogner 412's(black with wheat grill) and two 212's, A mark IV/Electra Dyne rig with a couple traditional boogie 412's for dry and some 212's for wet sounds.

Then I'd get a "white" rig like this one :D
white.jpg

I'd also build a rack with a Fish pre, X99 and axe-fx + VHT p.a.

And a Splawn Street Rod combo with one helluva pedal board. A few Axe-fx's for each rig and a Dumble to smash on live video and post on youtube.
Well that's a start. BTW this thread is stupid and pointless, but it's fun to dream.

edit: my post count is so metal right now.

yes... i have thought this through before. not listed are the 11 guitars and their designs that i also would like to have... ;)

Just a few amps, a few cabs and about 5-6 great electrics. Then a few great acoustics, banjo, resonator, nylon. Really just cover my basis with some really solid gear, not over doing it.

Probably amp wise a Mark V, Something from Deizel, then another different shade.

JP's old IIc+/Eventide rig was the best sound he's ever had. That would be a nice rig to own for sure.

I forgot some amps in my first post:
XTC 101B, 20th ann. XTC with el34's, snakeskin SLO, VH4, Orange Rockerverb, Uber rev blue and a 1987x plexi. And I guess I wouldn't complain about having a CCM and CCV ;)

Dude, you can have the pirate shirts NOW! Without the lottery winnings! Hmm, I haven't even talked about all the women's under-garments I could buy and wear around the house, or how I'd buy into the Chipotle restaurant franchise and build one onto my garage/guitar workshop.

I already have enough crap, but I would take a Dumble clone, Uberschall version 2 or 1, VHT/Fryette UL, Germino Masonette, an awesome 1968 plexi clone, a Matamp 80 or 120 watt, Valvetech Hayseed 30 w/ EF 86 option and a Soldano SLO.

Cameron CCV, Diezel Herbert/Vh4. Fortin Meathead and NATAS.

Andddd
A massive W/D/W rig with like 10 Herberts, each plugged to Mesa Strategy 400 poweramps, into tons of cab (2 4x12 each, or more if possible) to destroy BIG CITIES !

OT, but did you used to play like a more death metal type band? Something that started with an E maybe? I feel like a recall someone with your username over at the ESP boards a while back like that, but I don't think that person was a doom guy

weird. i used to be a death metal dude (never in a band that started with E though lol) i got into doom in the last 3-4 years and my user name started on VW forums for drag racing. ive never been on the esp boards. . . small world if it is the same!

Huh.. interesting haha. Well this guy definitely had a user name all in caps and the first word was definitely nitro. Funny little coincidence I guess haha.
