I like it pretty well, definitely a different beast than the Quickrod. The gain is way more compressed and modern sounding when compared to the Quickrod which is more of a modded Marshall flavor. Looking back, and if I had it to do over, I probably would have left it as an el34 amp. The KT88's give it a lot more bottom end, but it makes the resonance control pretty much useless to me. Same for the mid switch, and I just noticed looking at the picture that I took of it.. I have the new/old switch on the "new" setting, and I know the drop b+ is not engaged.

So thanks.. You've really got me wondering why I even sent it in to have the fully loaded mods done in the first place! J/K, but not really..

I may end up having it converted back to el34 eventually.
