I don’t know how many times I’ll have to realize that I didn’t learn this lesson the last time. Have a MIDI cable for my foot controller, a quality one made by BTPA, that is providing phantom power just fine. But my controller commands stopped registering. Went through confirming MIDI channels for all devices, checking PC messages, blah blah. Give up for a while. Ok, fine, I’ll check all the MIDI cables. Yep, the last cable I’d imagine would be it, was it.

Once I retubed, rebiased, refused and swapped speakers in an amp before realizing my guitar’s volume knob was down, so don’t feel bad
