Hetfield doesn't seem to go bonkers with the signature gear, so it's probably a decent product that he actually uses. He seems like an all-around good fella who has his head on straight when it comes to business... usually. I would be skeptical about them being rebranded 81s or something, but we had another thread about them awhile ago where some Rig-Talkers vouched for them, so IDK.

That doesn't make any sense. The pickups are a big part of how a guitar sounds. The output jack, as long as it works, isn't.
