Im back to playing diezel amps again, ive been gone a few years but now im a herbert owner again. Back in 2008 i had to make a hard choice of keeping either my engl se or the herbert and i made a bad mistake  selling the herbert, oh how i have missed that amp. Not only was it the wrong choice but 6 months later the engl brokedown and i was stuck dealing with trying to get it repaired and i just wasnt happy with the way they treated me  In the past peter diezel has always been helpful and stands behind his amps.

My favorite amp in the lineup is the herbert, this will be my 3rd herbert. I also owned a einstein and early vh4 but the herbert was always a better fit for me.

I used to post under the names zao and zombieland.

I needed some xtra cash for xmas and had to choose between my herbert and engl se and i sold the herbert, the amp was a great amp but at that time the engl se was my main amp and favorite. i always figured i would save up and buy another one 6 months later but i ended up buying some more guitars and also had issues with my engl se and had to deal with getting it repaired, so it was a mistake selling it the but im happy now that i have a 2008 herbert coming tomorrow one and if its as good as my 2007 herbert i will love it.

Welcome back. Nothing else oozes tone like a Diezel. We are like boomerangs.

I like to think of it more as a cataclysmic explosion of tone.

Welcome back, nice to read you're back in Herbert-Loveland too...

Peace,
V.

Fedex came but nobody was home and no new amp day for me now.
Maybe tomorrow will be better.

Welcome back

There's just something about a Diezel that keeps us ( Well ) :D :D :D :D

Come on Tom, you know by now you are supposed to call in sick to work on new amp days!

Post pics when you get that Herbert in your possession!

Thanks guys, the amp arrived today and i only got to spend about 20 min playing it, i started off in ch2+ with the mid cut on and both mid cut knobs at 12:00, i always liked ch2 the best. I cant wait to get home and play it some more. Just from the brief time i spent with the amp it seems a bit brighter than my last herbert and i noticed the pre tubes are EH and that might be the reason since i always liked a Rft and chinese in the pre of my old amp, I bought the amp from eddyrox and hes a good dude.

 Right on man. Having the Herbert and the SE makes me a happy dude. Glad you got your Herbie back. They are great amps for sure.

today was my best sounding day, i was kinda searching for the tone i wanted and i was really close but today i found it, after i got done playing i just smiled.

i had the engl se
after a while i bought a herbert

i was always changing something with the Engl(eq and push buttons) the se had a mid spike that bugged me all the time (but i have to admit that the rythem on that amp was ground shaking)i didnt play the se anymore, the herb was plug and play and the amp of choice

after a year i traded the se for a soldano decatone and never looked back

BTW: it where the problems you had that gave me the extra push on selling the Engl, normally i dont sell gear but it was the best thing i did.
I mailed Soldano about the amp i bought and got mail from Mike him self the next day.
Both Peters: contact their customars faster than the speed of light and the best is that P. Diezel is on the forum constantly!
