So far pretty impressed. Sounds great, easy to use, quick set up and tear down, easy on my aging back and knees. Any tips from you pros? I'll be using an FRFR speaker as a monitor and going direct to FOH.

Try out some 3rd party impulse responses. You can get good sounds of the stock cabs, but it takes a lot more tweaking in my experience. Also, high and low cuts in their own EQ block after your cab/IR can work wonders. If you're recording using its USB out, channels 7 and 8 are dry outputs, which really kicks ass for reamping or using plugins. So much flexibility with the Helix, it's crazy.

Yeah this right here although I tend to stick with stock cabs.

I have a vid series I am doing on my youtube channel for guys new to Helix

I messed around today and achieved pretty good results. Used the HBE and a Klon sim for my main sound. Trial by fire tonight at the gig. Fingers crossed.

I just recorded all my parts for the new Contrarian record with the Helix. You can find the patch i used on Custom Tones. Just search for Contrarian. If you do grab it, i used a Celestion Creamback H-75 412 balanced sm57 IR and the other IR was a balanced 421.
