Anyone have or tried a Sterling Luke and has also played a U.S. Luke? Got to play a U.S. Luke III a while back and the neck was very nice. Curious how the imports compare.

Yes on Sterling nay on USA but i can tell you Luke cares about the guitars he's putting out with his name.
Alot of thought went into this guitar. The neck is so comfy you don't even think about it.
Kind of a medium C neck w/a V carve. Roasted and tunged.
12db boost push/push volume. 5 way switch. Luke trem. pups aint bad at all. Locking tuners.

Well if you're talking figured AAA type tops with furniture finishes yes EBMM USA Luis Opispo is going the extra mile and you pay for that.
As far as my $800 Sterling LUKE its not lacking anything at all for that price point.
One cool thing about the 12db boost you can use it like a compressor on clean tones.

Never met someone so concerned about another mans tape. Maybe raise your standards.

Man, I can't believe you keep it out there on your sidewalk? Has anyone ever walked by and tried to take it?

Not a fan of the Petrucci guitars. They look fugly to me.
Yeah, the Majestys are wild looking, I initially felt the same, but they grew on me. I got the Cerulean Paradise Blue Quilt Top. It was super nice. BUT, they drilled and mounted the bridge crooked, and the tuning peg mounting screw holes were drilled too big and they would move freely, and couldn't be tightened down. I could have filled the holes a bit and made it work, but I wasn't going to waste my time. Both of those issues were just horrendous fails. It sounded awful too, even with the Petrucci pickups. Muddy, no clarity, yucky. Alot of their earlier Indonesian guitars were just awful. I played a few other examples that were just terrible. They supposedly stepped up their game after a Glenn Fricker video went viral, believe it or not... He showcased a real turd and they got wind of it.

I don't even have to try hard to like the LUKE series, its like if a Gibson / Charvel & Fender all had a baby.
LUKE knows tone.
