I'm a very late Limp Bizkit fan, having steered clear of the band for many years because I bought into all the hatred against Fred Durst and nu metal.

But I gave it a shot and wow, I seriously recommend that folks listen to tracks like Nookie, Break Stuff and Hot Dog. I think I like it even more because I'm quite old.

Anyhow, was quite sad to hear that their bassist, Sam Rivers, passed away. He was 49 iirc, cause of death hasn't been announced.

Anyway, I wrote something in memoriam. It's not nu metal, as I really can't wrap my head around how to write guitar parts that way, same goes for djent.

Here it is with uncompressed audio: In Memory of Sam Rivers.mp4 (It's a Onedrive link, and I guarantee it's safe to watch on that platform)

RIP Sam.

About the gear: This was my Mayones Regius Core direct into my new laptop recording setup. The laptop is an MSI Vector, and I used an Apogee Duet 3 as the interface. Both the guitar and bass were run into one of the instrument inputs and then into Neural DSP plugins.
