I keep it short. I orderd one of these....Who has one? Thoughts and opinions?

Well....it arrived. And unfortunately it's very nice. Really. I might have to keep it. 🙈😅
It's very fast, very precise, the "new" EMGs are great, they scream, they pinch, they grind, they are tight.
Wheareas my V2 is more like a (farting) Lumberjack :D , this is a Ferrari. It's nicely balanced, even though i had a nylon strap on a kinda nylon pullover (adidas sports wear kinda thing) very well built (as you would expect from a Japanese ESP-Guitar), the Fretboard is a bit on the brown-wooden-side (the V2 Fretboard is very black, but it's dyed. I had black fingers from playing it for years :D That's gone now, but it's still very black. The M1 is a bit fret-buzzy, but the neck is almost too straight, so that should be no problem. The ESP Straplocks are also very nice. They use two nuts and a washer and you can tighten them by hand. The Pot is very low profile and its top is below string-level. It was in my way only once, so that should also be no problem.
Recently i learned that the "new" EMGs even though they use SMD Compoments now have a bigger headroom, so there's no internal preamp clipping anymore and a different resonant peak. I like that. All in all, very nice, but we will see.

Addendum: After further evaluation farty old Lumberjack V-2 it is.

don't have one, but played an H-H version at GC a few months ago and liked it better than the Jackson american soloists. Strong gas ever since!!

Taking a hard look at the Arrow.
Guys in here speak highly of the E-II brand.

Let us know what you think.

I have flirted with this guitar a lot. I like EMGs but hate having to put a battery in my guitar, and the volume pot is in the wrong position for me, but other than those two things, this guitar is perfect

Every E-II I've played has been awesome. I'd have one of these if it was a stop tail instead of string through.

Is there a trap door to access the 9 Volt or is it in the cavity
The E-II's all have the trap door on them, LTDs have a separate battery cavity.

These M-1s are great and have been a solid value since they started selling them, hard to beat imo.

I had an eye on these Jacksons (and others) too, but i was a bit hesitant. Maybe it sounds silly, but i don't like the Softcases. Go grab an E-2 then, when you have the chance.

The Arrow is also nice, but maybe a bit too light...and since i have a V-2 Standard...I will. The 2 other guitars i ordered in the last 2 months were this and an Gibson Les Paul Custom Standard (which funnily enough was too heavy and the Pickups was too vintage for me". You did not aks, but now you know.

It's only once a year. That's ok. You can put a new Battery in it, when you change Strings. I also do that once a year. :D But the Volume Pot Placement is my "biggest concern" too. I always wanted the black one, but the red grew on me. My first two ever guitars were red. It would be kinda full circle.

Fair enough ;) Why don't you like string-through?

Yeah. Can't think of a better one on the market.

that's a nice red, not too bright!
black one with the binding is also nice.
with guitars, i am nowhere near monogamy:D
but one day i will limit me to
4 Les Pauls
2 explores
4 teles
1 strat
2 SGs
2 "superstrat"
1 gretsch
1 hollow body
1 7-string
1 iceman
1 western guitar
1 classical guitar
at least that's the plan:D

Nuh-uh. The Mille Petrozza E-II I have has a built in USB charging port for the Fishman Fluency pups. Lasts for ages without recharging.

I've wanted one of those for a while, but never found one for the right price to take the chance since ESP necks have been hit or miss for me. They also do a really nice one for the Japanese market with a quilt top.

Sweet. But that's a veneer, isn't it?

Hey, what's up? I've limited myself to 1 guitar. With 1 neck. Unlike him:
