Chubtone guitars are awesome. This is my second one that is on the way to me. I got tonenerd pickups again as well. I wanted something to compliment my aviator spitfire with the flame maple so I got a quilt top with similar specs. I can't wait to play it but cosmetically they went above and beyond. I had been doing mock ups on different sites like Mayones, Kiesel etc before deciding to go with chubtone again and I'm glad I did. I can't recommend these guys enough.

I'm likely going to grab a star or something with a roasted maple neck next time

fancy wood tops aren't my thing, but that top looks incredible IMO! lots of movement in still pics, going to look sick in person!

Congrats & enjoy!

Yeah this top is ridiculous. Scottosan hooked me up with pick ups with the nickel covers. After this guitar I'm pretty much set on guitars with fancy tops. I have like 3 or 4 guitars are on my wishlist - a single cut, a V, a star shape and an RD type. 2024 I want to add a V either a Rhoads or Solar V(or maybe a Sully).

Chubtone are a steal and I'm glad you guys turned me on to them. My Explorer nailed what I wanted from an explorer. The only thing I wish I could get from them is 24 frets.

I can't believe how nice of a tops they have. Anywhere else it wouldn't be as well defined for the price they charge.
