Check this shit out. I've been having a blast with my Big Muff since modding it, so I thought I would record something. I just recorded this direct to DAW, no amp, just FUZZZZ!

The famed Slash'esque notes prevailing over top... the funky drum slaps... I liked it.

It was like a heroic moment in sound :D

yeah, it's pretty weird, especially with the tribal sounding drums. I'm in love with this guitar sound though, it's massive, and to think that this was direct and not amped... Axe FX my ass... this is Muff FX!!!

My fuzz experiments just sound like the band Sunn O)). I change chords every few minutes.

There is no wrong way to use a fuzz pedal. Actually there is, by not using one. I'd love to know what the hell it is that Sunn O))) actually do on the guitar. When listening there is noticeable guitar there, it's making noise, but I can't decipher notes. It doesn't sound like sustaining, there are attacks and changes, but it doesn't sound like chords or harmonies either. Very strange indeed.....

I was privileged enough to see Sunn O)) live. They had about 4 full stacks for every person in the band. There were 3 guitarists and a bassist. The bassist had 3 8x10s and another stack on either end of the stage. They all wore hoods and had a fog machine cranked the whole set. The lead guitarist (if you can call him that) would hold his Les Paul up in the air to signal the chord change, and then slowly lower it down as they all changed the chord. They had the singer from Boris scream over part of their set too, but I didn't really hear him. He just screamed bloody murder and pretended to hang himself from the rafters.

Anyways, the point of that story was to tell you how they ran their cables. There was a table set up near the middle of the stage, and all the cables were ran to the table. They had the table covered with pedals and connectors that ran from all the guitars through all the amps. They had a guy almost playing DJ and standing at the table the whole set just turning knobs on the pedals. I couldn't tell who was playing out of what. I just know it is a wall of sound that you feel more than you hear. If Satan was ever to climb out of the ground and present himself, it would sound like a Sunn O)) show.
