There is one of these locally and I was curious if anyone has used it? If so what is it like and how much should it go for?

It's a nice amp. More of a modded Marshall tone than any other Boogie amps. Great cleans. Some people find them harsh.

Not worth more than about $800.

I had the Deuce, (twice). Killer amps. British voicing, Mesa grind.

I've read that the Series II is the one the get (there's a "II" above the input jack).

The Stiletto is 100 watts. The Stiletto Trident is 150 watts and there is a used one at Guitar Center for 850 to give you an idea on price.. I had a Stiletto II and it was a great amp.

The first run is more vintage sounding. Both are good.

My exact thoughts. I played a deuce for while and I thought it was a beast. The cleans on my tremoverb are MUCH better than the stiletto.

I've never played on of these and always have been curious.

Do they actually sound kinda like a Marshall, or are they just brighter and tighter than a Rectifier? Those are not exactly the same things.

it sounds damn good in this clip... yes sir.

BTW..you must be in a soundproof room/bunker, or Cary would've run you away by now! ;)

The video above is a pretty accurate demonstration as fas as i remember. If you want a more Marshallesque Mesa, go for the Royal Atlantic. I like those better. Tbh.

^ I came here to ask how you are going to do this after just ordering the JJ

Is this your video Docster?

Either way, this dude is a monster player. Great chops. Great tone. Great choice in amps. His Splawn video is one of the big reasons I have mine. Him and Estrada and MatrixClaw.

I have a pretty good space here in Cary as I have a Diezel Herbert-Friedman BE100 stereo amp rig - no neighbors have complained...yet

I had a Stage 1 trident for a while. The crunch channel very much reminds me of a JCM 800 but brighter, wonderful clean channel too. The two lead channels however I felt left a lot to be desired. The Stage II I think fixes what I didn't like in the Stage 1. Also speakers make a big difference. V30's sounded like crap with it imho but a pair of Eminence Legends sounded awesome with it. I personally would go with a Deuce or an Ace next time around and a stage II For sure.
