So...got my RD45 back from a loan out and am going to do a play through video. This one will not have a backing track and will be a a rom mic so you can hear the tone of the amp with no mic/eq/etc. getting in the way. Sort of like the Tom Anderson Classic T & Lickliter Amp video I posted.

I will cover the following:

- Clean Channel - finger picked and with a pick
- OD Channel w/out boost in a rock style and metal style
- OD Chaneel w/ boost in a rock style and metal style

Going to use different guitars to achieve era correct tones.

The absence of Ratt and Dokken suggestions is appreciated. :D

So, other than what I have included, what do you want to hear?

Ratt... Dokken..

Ok, ok... White Lion, KIX

To be honest, I think it would be cool to see it wound through the 70's AC/DC, Thin Lizzy up to early 80's sunset strip Motley Crue to the "heavier" stuff from that era like Dio and Maiden. Make sure you let those mids bark through so showing that functionality on the amp would be key as well. Then go nuts on the thrash with some old Metallica and Megadeth. That would satisfy my constant whining for "yeah but can it do RATT????" lol

^^^
This, plus:

Gain ranges with both neck/bridge p-kups

Vol knob cleanup

And while the amp was designed for rock/metal, is it wrong to think there may be any ballpark single coil/tapped blues-rock tones to be had ?. Pls &thx.

Can you do a sweep of each of the EQ knobs so we can hear how each one sounds from one extreme to the other. Also, since there is only one set of EQ, can you toggle back and forth between the clean and dirty to see how useable the clean sound will be after you have found a good sweet spot on the distortion side? Looking forward to the clips either way. Oh,,any chance the 7 string might make an appearance? :D

A little vintage Whitesnake or maybe VH would be nice! And for modern growl some Sevendust!

Everybody covered everything I wanna hear, so I'm just posting so you know I'm paying attention.

Wait; do some slower metal, like AIC to see how dark it can get?

if it's anything like the fortin modded rd50h I had, it does new alice pretty well, specially with v30's

looking forward to non-thrash stuff as well
I think these are being way overlooked as they're seen as metal-only amps, when they're actually quite versatile
I loved how it could clean up with the guitar knobs even with the gain maxed and boosted
very dynamic and fizz-free

Really looking forward to Jason's RD45 demo. How about the Les Paul with the RD45 set to medium gain to get into Gary Moore/Joe Bonamassa type blues rock stuff. And some higher gain riffs and soloing with a decent delay in the fx loop.

Ok, I will make a two hour video to cover everything here...

Clean crunch tones from say Led Zep. Give us both single coil tone and humbuckers. Then maybe give us some Thin Lizzy and Queen. Just some riffs from each band. Then maybe for the higher gain stuff start with some EVH to Sykes and then top off with some Dimebag. Like I said just some brief sections to gives us some familiar tunes to compare to. My 2 cents

That's what we love about you Jason; you go above and beyond, dude!

Got my RD20 yesterday and I'm really digging it.It's tighter and a bit more modern sounding than my non-Fortin RD50,and the cleans have a bit more bounce and sparkle, though much of that could be the RD20's 6V6 vs the RD50's EL34 power section.I've only played it at lower volumes and through my Celestion G12K-100 loaded Lopo sealed 1-12 cab.I still like the RD50 for the looser Alice In Chains type stuff and for some classic hair metal tones. But the RD20's singing lead voice and tighter bass response is really inspiring my playing. Now I just have to get the RD20 [with my 4-12 cab] out of my little apartment and crank it up.

Some NYHC! the stuff you posted for me was awesome. Thank you again for that.

Les Paul with 80's thrashy-type tones, as well as Drop-D. I may order one of these amps in the next couple days!

Did that already!

How about some Images and Words/Awake era tones. I know the post on those albums was probably quite involved, but they covered quite a bit of sounds-clean, scooped, tight, loose, yadda-yadda.
