BTW, I like the Heisenberg comment.

And yep, great sounds & playing.

What's a good specific reference for a "pissed off" type of Marshall sound?
Thank you.

PO means super hot rodded - the stuff RT seems to prefer :D
Lets see if I'm able to get close to that without using the typical Jose circuitry.

As always Herr Doctor,

That sounds amazingly great Olaf my friend. How have you been?

Gary
Thanks Gary.

All well here in snow covered Germany.

The chassis is nice, Dan. I'm still waiting for some other parts like an IEC in (normally I'm using those with a built in fuse, so I don't stock the basic one - lol). The transformers are from Tube Town and I hope that the OT will sound as good as the Drake I've had in my '76 JMP before I sold it (stupid me) . . . I just need to find a better guitarist to record that amp for me then.
It will have 4 stages and a LND150 driven Loop. No other bells or whisles, just straight forward, you know . . . Tube Town sells them ( the loop PCBs) (if you should need any for your work and you don't want to order in the US for tax/custom reasons) . . .

Olaf

Very cool, thanks for the info Olaf!

Sounds like that amp will be awesome, can't wait to see/hear it

BTW the Hammond 290HX and 1750U transformers are a great choice if you're looking for something similar to the Drakes or Dagnalls in the Marshalls. Not sure if you have used them before, but thought i would mention them :) Tube Town sells them for reasonable prices.

Thanks Dan. Yes, I've used Hammonds before, but then switched to IGPW, a german booteek manuf.. Good quality, good service. Soundwise IMO the differences aren't big. Cab/Speakers make a lot more difference than a different OT. The problem I have is that most standard transformers don't have supply volts for switching, which I need for midi, phantom power and so on . .

here's the link to IGPW:

Thanks Steve.

@ Dan: here's the second with the Modulus Chassis/board and TT transformers . . .
