Not sure how that was mic'd up for the vid but that sounds very digital. Pretty bad tones.
I'm sure it must sound better in the room.

It wasn't a display of tone, it was a display of how Dweezil incorporates other stomps into his MFC and signal chain.

There are many other YT vids of Dweezil exploiting the better sounds of the Fractal unit.

Not sure it validates anything. Same guy dialing in most likely means they will sound the same. Not a knock on the Axe, just not a validation - and at this point I don't think the Axe needs validation.

Heard about a cool new Fractal product about to hit the market today. People will very much like I think. :)

Would you say they will announce the new
Product "soon"

yes :)

I thought both clips kinda blew, but I guessed the first one was the real JCM, and I guess that's the right answer.

The real amp is a bit less compressed compared to the AFX. The initial attack, especially in the gainier stuff, is a little more open and less compressed on the real amp.

Thanks for the heads-up on this

Yeah, it' hard to let go. But, digital output is the way forward. It's taken me a couple years to divest the dinosaurs, but, with the Axe, I couldn't be happier.

I am just dying to know if it
Has some amp models

Don't care how many or which
Ones as long as they are on board

Shark diver a hint..lol

I think Vernon Reid needs to hang out with Dweezil for a few

Took my Kemper to a recording studio last week to profile a vintage marshall and a cameron mod, and one of the cooler things about the kemper is that when you profile an amp, you can instantly compare it to the REAL amp you are profiling before you save it. After refining the profile but before saving it, I was able to fool the studio owner several times over which was real and which was the profile. was crazy. Gotta love technology.

I'll call this a validation when folks are saying "hey, check out my JCM 800...it sounds just like the Axe FX"...

Point made

I'm with Steve on this - I'm finding it hard to fault the A2. If I forget about just how f*ckin' cool a halfstack of [enter boutique killer name brand here] tube driven thunder looks; the A2 does it all easier, more flexibly, more consistently, and incredibly accurately.

Letting go is a penis thing. I still need (er, wait....want) my amps, but I've not actually played one of my amps for over a month (maybe two??) :dunno:

It's not much of a challenge to set up a JCM800 to sound like the Axe FX. But, there are many more amps that sounds like the Axe FX too. The beauty of the Axe though is not to dwell on "does my amp sound like it", but to sculpt your own tone out of the Axe somewhere near amp X (or amp Y). The gravy is setting up the FX for your needs and leaving the stomp boxes behind.

My penis agrees with this statement....

If Papa D reads that... :gethim: :D

Joking of course. I still think my Axe FX was the best piece I've ever bought. Once my wedding is paid, I'll probably get another one.

I didn't like either clip.

Dude, not to jump off subject, but I could watch that legless dog avatar in your sig for 12 hours straight and it would never get old. I'm completely entranced.....
