A guitar player friend of mine that lives in the neighboring town, texts me the other day…..

“Hey are you looking for an upright bass?”

Ummmmm. No. Lol

Come to find, it’s an old Gibson from 1932-34!!!!

I’m sure this would be an absolute bucket list item for someone.

This is the kind of stuff that pops up when you live so close to Kalamazoo!!!

Ohhhffffff. My son would love that. Gibson made all sorts of non electric instruments. Very cool find. Brent, that is so odd of an item, you should dig deep on that historical find. Looks to be in quite good shape. Very nice.

I'm a bass player. I did some time in Soulard back in the day. My old man was a bass player. He did a lot more time in Soulard than I did.

btw Soulard is, or used to be, full of clubs that showcased local St. Louis blues and jazz bands.

Yeah, how much?
thing is friggin cool !! looks like it's in good shape too

Someone brought to me an acoustic Gibson which oddly has a headstock that looks like the Heritage. They made mandolin style instruments as well- required restorations but still a cool find. Would have never thought. Point is… when someone asks, at least take a look.
