Just wondering

The guy said its mint from 1995. With all this 5150 talk going on Im thinking about it

The market has been around $500 for a blockletter for awhile. They're going for a bit more lately though. I'd say $700 for the mint condition head is fair. I personally don't care for the cab-no bueno.

You can buy the head for $500-$600 and the cab for $100-$200.

I dont know whats with people lately. $900 for a block letter

I was seeing used 6505+/6534+ (head only) lately for around $900 as well, seemed priced kind of high imo.

People want to sell their stuff a couple hundred off of new price, I'll buy new personally.

If it's the one on CL up here, I know the scoop.

He was going to sell it to a buddy of mine for $850. He hesitated, and the dude dumped it on CL.

He had it checked out by Kirk, and Kirk told him to list it at that price and let people talk him down. It is mint, but that is too much. $850 would be a good price for it.

I think $850 is a bit steep too. Although having a mint one is pretty cool

I'd offer $700 and maybe let him talk you up $50.

I originally got my 5150 for $250, but it wasn't mint. I did some work to it, and it was a great head. I'm just cheap when it comes to gear. I'd say $600 for the head and $200 for the cab is the highest I would go. 5150 cabs aren't amazing to begin with.

I paid $1000 for a 5150 Block Letter head in mint condition (minus dust) and a near mint Mesa Recto 4x12. Considering the 5150 cab aint worth shit, I'd say that deal stinks.

Yeah, I offered him my red quilt top axis for trade and he said he couldnt do that. I got at least $1250 in that guitar

Oh well, what are ya gonna do

Yep, too much. I paid $900 shipped for my 5150II and Cab in ~2003. Thankfully when I sold it last year I was able to sell the head for $750 (with a flight case I paid $100 for) and the cab for $250 and make my money back. Not bad for the years of use I got out of it. And I would say I got lucky on the head as I have seen them go for much less than that lately.

Agreed... Heads are good.... the cabs are absolute "cardboard tone" horrible garbage. period.

Maybe I'm a little biased, but I paid $500 for my sig halfstack and $300 for my blockletter head.
Being minty, IMO, ain't worth $700, and the 5150 cabs are only worth as much as it takes to dispose of them properly with fire.

Lol. A lot of hate for 5150 cabs. I think they are actually built well and sound great with better speakers.

+1, but a 5150 with a mesa recto cab is tits for modern metal

Wait for another one. Like everyone else has mentioned you can find one in very good condition for much much less...

Don't validate these assholes with their gouging. Its going to start a trend, which apparantly has already begun.

There was a local craigslist crack-head selling a mint 5150 block letter head and cab for $1500 i think. I wanted to call him to "educate" him but decided otherwise...

Its tempting i know but don't add fuel to the fire
