It's a badly managed company and their product is grossly overpriced. Given the price, you'd think the guitars were made of amber or petrified dinosaur shit and the quality control at Gibson is mediocre at best. But I love the sound of a good Les Paul...who doesn't? They count on that......

I've got a 08 standard that just kills, love it

I have an 08' as well and really like it.

As long as there is an internet, then you will see people bitching about Gibson. I personally love my Les Paul Classic. When I can afford another Les Paul, I will buy one.

I bought 2 in '08 a standard Blonde Beauty and a Classic 60 reissue Gold Top and luv them both. I played quiet a few before I found those 2. I want a Iced Tea Classic next.
