Considering buying a Mesa metal grill cab, it's got the Eminence 50 watt speakers all around (why it isn't mixed, I don't know). Googled them, not many results, of the few useful results I could find was an old forum thread on TGP where the guy who is selling the cab was asking about these speakers, and a thread on the boogie board that JimAnsell was selling a pair of them. They're 12730's, VS-12's i think is their designation? Anyway, I really wanted some input on these things from someone who has actually used them, as I'm sure you all know, a cab can sound fine when you try it out but really not mesh well once you get it in a band setting. I use several diff amps including Peavey Triumph, MP-1 and Marshall 9005, and Peavey Windsor. Other guitarist has a Crate head and 1960, the Crate soon to be replaced by a JCA50 (gotta love sharing your GAS with bandmates   ) A little mid scoop is good with me, as I love the 1960 and my 2x12 that also has the t75's, mainly looking for big low end response and clear highs.
Anyway, I know he was on HCAF but didn't know if he's a member here too. And if anyone else has any input on these speakers, please share.

He's a member, but hasn't been here in almost a year. Search members under J...maybe try to send a pm.

There are guys here that have more experience with boogie speakers :)

I'm sure there are, just looking for a good starting point
Man I've been wanting one of these boogie cabs for some time, was pumped to finally find one for sale locally, but I think it's gonna end up being too high. Unless he comes down on the price substantially.
