Just curious... I know most Marshallites are diehard Made in England for a Marshall... But the new DSL100H is made in... Vietnam???

Anyone here have one??? I have someone offering to trade me my Road Case for his DSL100H that he claims is only a year old... I don't know if I should pull the trigger. I've wanted a DSL for a while, but I have wanted an ORIGINAL series JCM2000 DSL... Never heard them side by side in person and never honestly looked twice at the new ones either. I see a few people who say they sound completely different, and some say they sound the same... I don't know what to really think...

I would appreciate any opinions good bad or indifferent on this one... I don't want to shoot myself in the foot here...

IDK, where were the original's circuit boards made? I bet it wasn't England.

Wonder if I can find some pictures of some on the googlez...

I tracked with one a while back (studio had it on hand) and sounded like a typical DSL to me. Nice amp.

Jeff Beck's recent Rig Rundown shows him using one alongside a Fender or two... If it's good enough for him...

I've played a 100H and 15H. All I'll say is don't dare knock it 'till you've tried it . . .

Fair Enough, but he also probably has them given to him haha. I figure it's worth a try maybe if the kid really wants to make the trade. Otherwise the Road Case is going to turn into a mobile guitar workbench with drawers in the rack and bins down where the head use to be.

What's the road case worth? A used (and used is used) newer DSL is worth between $300 and $500. If your case is worth less than that it's a good trade.

I was trying to sell the case for $300... half of what I paid new

I played them a few times and really couldn't stand them.

Yeah, same here.
Tried to like them but left me cold in the end.

It's a good deal then--if you don't like the amp and it's in good shape you'll be able to flip it quick and get what you wanted. No brainer.

It will be easier to find uses for an amp then a road case and also easier to sell it if need be.

Kid backed out stating "his mom wouldn't let him get rid of it" LMFAO! Must have been a gift... If I sell the JVM though I still may try and pick a DSL up just to have that marshall tone...
