Is the new Tremoline T36 an OFR Floyd killer????????

Just came across this video and thought it was cool..............................my recent 2025 USA made Floyd 1984 purchase was a disappointment because of poor QC...I had to completely replace to two saddles which were completely frozen and would not articulate up or down with the fine tuners.

I watched that earlier this morning - definitely looks rad as fuck

I hate this new trend of making tremolos way too tiny for the route though (like the Vega trem)

It will look like shit in any guitar that wasn't purpose built for it

I guess the easier intonation ability is cool but not enough to spend more coin on something with some update
Just so long as it works (Floyd) I aint spending my retirement bucks.

It doesn't look badly made, but I missed the part where there was something it did better than the OFR.
Not sure if better but it's all one piece milled steel. Low profile. Easier to intonate since the you can reach the string with the wrench. Drop in replacement for a Floyd so no routing or changing posts. Lock screws don't stick out.

Looks pretty cool to me. When I was having my Chubtones built I would have gone with this because of the low profile. Once I left Floyds, got used to PRS trems when I put a Floyd on my Chubtone, I couldn't get used to the fine tuners crowding my hand. My second Chubtone I put a Gotoh on which moves the fine tuners back at a better angle.

I saw that this morning. I will buy a kahler if I’m in the market. I just love those big heavy ass blocks of stainless steel.

I have been using GOTOH, it's hard to beat for $100.
I actually loved the Gotoh 1996 on my EBMM axis. After this last go around with quality issues on the USA 2025 Floyd, Gotoh is probably my next trem. Even the made in Germany OFR Floyds seem to have had better quality and consistency.

Yeah I get it.... but the fact that someone was innovating something new I thought was discussion worthy.....

Yeah, I made the switch a while back.

This thread makes me think we all have the same YouTube algorithm.

I saw that too. I just skipped the video because I figured you guys would tell me about it. I trust you guys more than YouTube.

I really don't frequent youtube.

The video vignette is a "no click" for me. And as you @Geo I don't spend much time on YouTube anymore. 20 minutes videos for 2 minutes of content.

No problemo. I do find the improvements worthy of the price for a one-piece base/block.
I am retired from a Global aerospace/auto/Caterpillar company. Tool and Die maker here so I appreciate his design.
