If there a way to just switch between the 3 channels without spending $500? I just want a simple 3 switch switcher, no preset midi stuff; clean, rhythm, hi gain!
Axess Electronics MCFS-5, it can do Program and Control changes. It may have more options than you need, but it's compact and built like a tank. You see them on Ebay for around $200.00 I've had mine for 5 years no problems, Mario makes great stuff.
I like them both for different reasons, however If I had to choose one, I prefer the Einstein. I'm not a metal guy at all, & the Einstein seems a bit warmer for the "classic" medium/high gain tones that I go for. I'm one of the "old-school" type's that hangs on Channel 1 mode 2 for almost everything, Also, it's the 50 watt model and is easier to tame volume-wise for the gigs that I do. I play medium to large clubs for a living & the Einstein has more than enough headroom. The Herbert is awesome too, however, it's "Friggin' Loud!" Then again, I'm also one of those who doesn't play my gig amps at home either. I'm not hip to blowing my ears out for hours on end in a confined practice space with a 180 watt amplifier. Home is where I use the modeling stuff.
