Is this a Mesa oversize?

The piping on the Stiletto is silver now that it's called the Stiletto. That's 2 years now. Before that, it could've been black or gray. I've had 2 identical Mesa cabs and the piping was different.

Yup it's a traditional.

Yeap. 29 1/2 inches wide and 32 1/2 inches tall including the wheels. The wheels can't be more than 2 or 3 inches.

Have a jcm800 1960b with the m70s. Speakers are meh.
The mesa cab is going to be better in every way conceivable.
Quality=win
Speakers=win
Tone=win

The piping doesn't always tell that story. Just measure the height. If it's a shade under 30" tall, then it's a traditional. Don't include the casters. A tad of 32" inches tall and you have an OS.
Height is the obvious thing to check when in person.
Providing the cab is stock and not a custom order from Mesa, the piping color will always determine the model of these cabs.
Not true. The cabs came with black piping on traditionals back in the recto day.
That cab looks traditional but its hard to tell from the pic.
Strange, I've never seen a Trad Recto with black piping, ever. Mine included, which has grey and is a 2005 model. Also, every single Standard OS I've seen has had black piping. (On stages, in stores) I also have every Mesa product catalogue since 2002 which also shows the consistancy between the models and their piping color.

Love that cab, they sound awesome. Use to have one and wish I still did...they just sound really tight and focused compared to the oversized recto cab. Recto sounds a bit boomier but not as clear and focused. I'd make that trade for a 1960B any day. Depends on what ya like though.

definitely a traditional...

here's a pic of an oversized:

great cabinets. I also have a straight front/slant baffle oversized and it sounds killer as well. side by side they sound really similar. together they sound ridiculously amazing...

Every standard os has black, true, but my traditional has black, and I have seen a couple others with black piping as well. Never a "stiletto" though, those newer ones are always silver I believe.
Either way, killer cab :rock:
