Is Thomann.com online music store legit?

Trying to buy a guitar that isn't sold in the states and they have one in stock. They're located in Germany. Talked to my bank and they said it was ok to use my card but I've tried to purchase the guitar from their website and they say my card wont go through and that i need to set up a bank transfer. Anyone ever use this site? Would it be safe to do a transfer?
 
I'm pretty sure they're like the German Musicians Friend.

They are very legit. Use PayPal though. They accept for shipping to a verified address.

They are very legit. Use PayPal though. They accept for shipping to a verified address.

Contact them on their return policies though - just saw a case damaged due to shipping and a mixup involved with B stock guitars. Ask many questions regarding their policies if possible.
 
Thomann is as legit as they come.

I bought my DSL from them.

Use PayPal.
 
You can trust them, it the #1 music shop in Europe. Never had any issue in 30+ orders.
 
I've used them for years. Highly recommended. I can buy in the uk and get a one year warranty or I can by from them for less money, be kept up to date on my order via text message AND get a 3 year warranty.
 
Yeah like everyone has said you can buy with confidence from Thomann. Their customer service is really top notch too!
 
The same for me, bought from them on several occasions. No problems whatsoever.
 
Great thanks a lot guys. They said I can't pay with PayPal because I'm In the USA and that I'd have to do a bank transfer which is why I got nervous about dealing with them. Just don't want to risk sending money overseas to someone I shouldn't.
 
When I buy from them I usually use a bank transfer, I find it easier if I need to get a refund I get the money directly back to my account.
 
If you'll order from ouside the EU, spend some time to find out if its possible to get tax refunded, or ask the thomann sales desk directly. My colleagous from switzerland usually get the German VAT amount (19%) refunded after custom clearance.
