Issue with new behringer guitar link interface and audacity

Hey I just got the behringer usb guitar link and Im not sure how to get it to work, I cant hear my guitar and ive messed around with the settings so im not sure why I am not getting any audio in. I checked all the basic stuff. Im on windows 7, I dont seem to have any software with it, although I did manage to install the correct drivers.

Im trying to record and audacity is giving me an error. It says upon hitting the record button "error while opening sound device. Please check the input device settings and the project sample rate"

I know this doesn't answer your question, but it's just a suggestion.
Download Reaper and try it out. It's a great DAW, and you'd probably be able to configure everything a lot easier.
 
I have asio, but not sure how to use it or if its relevant in this case. I have the drivers for the behringer and its showing up in both playback and recording devices. Im just not getting any sound from my guitar
