I recently bought the cheap AKG WMS40 Mini wireless for bedroom jamming. Sounds as it should, no complaints.

I decided to take it to rehearsal only to have it scream the most bizarre interference noises through my amp, like Geiger Counter style stuff. Plus if I aimed my guitar at another rehersal room I'd get what they where playing through my amp. I said it was probably just someone with the same frequency as me or the sustainer pickup in my Charvel and just wired up.

The next few times I went to rehearsal the same issue happened, screaming static noise and squealing.

It's coming up to christmas so my budget is tight so what cheap wirelesses would you all recommend? Is digital wireless the future? Is it reliable?

PS No I wont just "use a cable" as I pull "yngwies" on stage and don't want to lasso anyone with a cable

The line 6 stuff is meant to be very good and stunning value for money - our bass player used the relay G30 and swears by it!

Lie 6 G10 is great. No pack, no batteries.

Is that butt plug connector thing not annoying especially in strat input jacks?

what is your budget? I am very happy with my shure glxd16. got it for 300 bucks. transmitter doubles as a tuner on my pedalboard. makes setup and tear down a breeze. one charge lasts 7-8 hours.

That looks an excellent unit! My budget is max £200/$230

I might grab the Line6 one and use small extension lead to move it onto the strap

I've had a similar issue with my Shure GLXD. It turns out it was my phone in my pocket being right by where the transmitter was. They were interfering with one another.

I took my phone out and put it on top of my amp, and the issue was gone.

Strangely enough I put my phone and all the other bands phones at the back of the room and all off just to rule that out and it was still happening....
