This could be an OD and or a booster. You know nice feel......warm.....clear tones.....thanks :)

Krankshaft, because it sounds very natural and transparent with my Rev1. It's my third channel. I have the Krank channel set for a good crunch, Gain and Presence fairly low. The Krankshaft gives me buckets of creamy, squeally lead tone when used on top of the Krank channel.

Krankshaft, because I work for Krank.

Fixed. :D

But seriously, my vote goes to my LordOvChaos Modded OD808.

Mine is the Boss OD-3. I've tried about 15-20 different ones.......including a few high enders like the Xotic BB, Barber LTD, and Keeley 5-Star. The OD-3 is very warm and pushes the front like nobody's business while retaining all of the low end and no crazy mid spikes. Maybe not the best choice for more modern sounding high gain amps. But it is perfect pushing Marshall type dirt into meltdown.

Surprise but the Danelectro Tansparent O/D works great and it's cheap too!!

I believe it. I used a GE-7 as a booster for my old Koch Powertone, it was great. Nowadays I use a regular TS-9 and/or a Roger Mayer Concorde+ treble booster. The Mayer is thicker than the TS, and actually turns into a cool fuzz when you turn the drive up. It also has a scitzophrenic tone control, the tone actually gets thicker when you turn it up. It controls the tone from germanium to silicone, so it`s not a regular tone control like we know it.

Haha! You working for Krank is much more likely. I've had that same OD808 for 3 or 4 years now. :D

You're retarded Mark. ;)

I've stated my relationship with Krank a half a dozen times here, yet you still call me a liar.

So, here goes, one more time for the record, in great detail:

I bought my Revolution Series One, #DB1020, used, just over two years ago. At that time I decided to re-tube it, and have it looked over. So I took it to the place that has done all the repairs that I can't handle for the past 22 years, M-Troniks in Mesa, AZ. I work about a mile away. Across the street from M-Troniks is Milano Music, and right next door to M-Troniks is Linton-Milano Pianos....
M-Troniks started inside of Milano Music, they eventually outgrew their spot in the back, and became a warranty repair center where virtually all the music dealers in the Phoenix area send warranty repairs of many brands of amps and PA stuff. I've been buying gear at Milano's also for 22 years, and they really take care of me well. They are one of the largest Peavey dealers out West, and when I was playing all Peavey gear they hooked me up with Peavey, etc.
Anyways, way back when, M-troniks was two people, the former owner, Mike Mularavich and his tech, Patrick Flanagan. When I took my Rev in to Mike, he told me to take it to Krank, because they were right in Tempe, actually very close to the Tempe/Phoenix border. So I emailed Krank and the tech was real nice and actually set up an appointment time for me to bring it in. So when I brought it in, guess who the tech is? It's Patrick from M-Troniks! So I know this guy for like 20 years but did not know where he went after M-Troniks...
Also turns out that Tony Dow (Tony Krank) is good buddies with another friend of mine, Lytle Rieffer, (Creature Studios, Fender "Guitar Teacher of the Decade" award). I've known Lytle and his wife and kids for about 15 years. When his daughter was in one of my bands, I did some small vocal parts on a Carvin Jones CD a couple years ago that was recorded there. Pat repairs Carvin's stuff at his house...
Anyways, it just turned out to be a very small world. I do not now nor ever have worked for Krank. I pay for all my Krank gear and service, just like anyone else. I don't receive any commission or gear or compensation from Krank.
The truth is their customer service is awesome, the company has a bunch of great people working for it and they will do anything to make sure you are happy with your Krank gear. Tony is very careful about using quality components in the pedals and amps and stuff. I once watched him make the decision to hold up production on a long awaited product when it was discovered a vendor supplied a component that was not up to his specs.
If you don't want to believe me, then ask Thump. Ask him about his Distortus Maximus, how he got it and what he thinks of Krank pedals....

Anyone use this? I wanna try it with my Quickrod.

As of late I've been using a MXR Micro Amp. Its hard to describe. Its like it just makes everything sound BETTER. :dunno: Then if I want REALLY liquidy leads I kick on the Bodenhamer SD-1 (which is post Micro Amp).
