I hate when people describe an amp it amp demo video as a box of bees, but fuk those demos actually sound like a box of bees. Love the chug and the tightness but the high mids are grating. Of course I do listen to a lot of ABBA, so I could be tone deaf.

I don't hear the bee buzz shit at all. I just think it sounds bright. Still, I like it and want to hear more demos of people who don't dial in so much presence. In the end though, when all the hipness wears off, people will realize the Stealth is where it's at. Don't get me wrong, the 5153s is truly great, but I still like the Stealth a little bit more.

The stealth seems to have both the bottom and high end frequencies nicely balanced.

pro audio star has them open box for under 1500.
I was that close a week ago, but went marshall.

I don't know, I wanted to like the 6L6 Stealth but it seemed even more plastic to me than the 50w 6L6. I sold it quickly. But, these EL34 versions have me wanting one.

Honestly the Stealth didn't impress me that much at first, but after a few hours on it, I realized how badass it is. I was going to buy one that was on clearance for $1399, then the 5153-S came in, so I had to try it since I'm an EL34 lover. I thought, "Wow! This is exactly what I wanted a 5153 with EL34s to sound like." Then after a couple of more side-by-side comparisons, I decided that I liked the Stealth a little bit more and went to buy it. Unfortunately, some asshole bought it that very morning. I may still get one. I'm telling you guys, the Stealth will eventually be the most sought after EVH once all the dust settles from the new stuff.

i dunno what to think.

I'm sure there's some texture, in the room, that i can't get on a YT video. But if I'm being honest, based on the 4-5 min demo on yt...the JAC20 Mod that PsycoDave put up is better sounding to me. :scared:

Much like the original 5153 50w...it's thick and cutting, but more modern, less hot-rodded marshall...if all that makes sense.

Just my quick .02. Of course...if cash is on my side when these hit the streets...and all the bugs are worked out (assuming there are some), i'll still probably buy one.

Well, considering they are probably up to 30 preamp tubes now, that would explain the gainz. I am with you though, so processed sounding. Way too much effin' gain.

Rockinchippy always does great sounding videos

The 100 watter sounds amazing.
At least thru my set up it does. Sounds like Rocking chippy videos.

Man the EVH demo is awful! The Anderson's one is better but still not my thing i guess.

Anderton's or Anderson's? I haven't seen any other vids, but I'm looking forward to hearing more of that amp.

Gain channel sounds almost like a 6505. The cleans seem to be a lot better,

I did too,my DSL 100H arrives tomorrow,or if I get lucky I might be able to go to the FedEx warehouse and get it today, depends on what time it gets to the warehouse, but tomorrow by 1030am for sure. I tried to wait but couldn't but the new EVH will be around now so should be able to get one in a couple of months.

Cool. I had the jcm series about 10 years ago and always regret selling it. Should be fun this time around !!!!
