Ok,imagine this....from the sellers point of view.

I'm gonna wrestle a heavy 4x12 into my truck(or worse yet,my car), and drive to HOPEFULLY meet up with someone from Craigslist and hope they are not one of the thousands of flakes that never show every day.

Nah...screw that. Come get from me. It's an awesome cab,if you don't wanna come get it someone else will.

Funny I just traded a Mesa OS cab to a forum member here and boy was it a BITCH to get in the back seat of my CTS   Regretted it almost instantly but in the end met a cool dude, smooth deal, and all was good.

It's getting worse what a grown man thinks needs to be shared on the fucking internet.

I've been in a similar situation once or twice and I got to tell you, nobody at my work gave a shit about me being a little late to work on those days... lucky for me I guess.

I have sold lots of gear on craigslist over the years, and depending on what I am selling and how bad I need the $ I try my best to accommodate the buyer, but I also see it as..I am the one selling it,if you want it come and get it!

I once went back and forth with the OP about buying a cab from him actually, and he was more than accommodating about meeting up. I ultimately decided to go with something else, and he was 100% cool when I told him about it. I think this just comes down to some people being friendlier than others about selling gear, and when you're friendly yourself, you probably expect that courtesy back. I don't think anyone is right or wrong, but I bet if the seller of the Bogner cab were a little nicer about how he told him to come get it, we wouldn't be having this discussion.

Yeah I know what you mean, when I got my Uberkab, the seller delivered it, along with the Uberschall Rev Blue head. He didn't use it anymore, and needed the money for bills, and had them up for sale for awhile, so he was ready to get it gone. Plus he had a string of lowballers before me, so he was happy with someone reaching a sensible deal. I suppose I'm not as nice lol

He was only about 10 miles from me, and had plenty of free time though, so take my example with that in mind.

The guy probably has 3 other people interested and they have offered to come pick it up.

-if I'm selling, your gonna come get it, CL is full of scam scum-

-thou when I'm buying, and I assume I'm driving, I've had more than one "seller" not want me to come to there house!!!

-must be my sketchy urban-omic texts, sent from my ghetto flip phone,.... scare's the bajeebuz out of them-

The only reason I ever meet up to sell something is because I don't want any of you dicks in my house.  Seriously there are times when I know I'm selling for a good price that I don't go out of my way for the buyer.

I never let anyone come to my house for a purchase. I have three young children. It's not worth even the smallest risk at all. I'd load that cab and meet the buyer half way.

Probably not in this market. Cabs are the hardest to sell.

CL is full of flakes though, he probably doesn't want to drive and be stood up.

I don't have randoms over though since I've had kids. It's not worth it. Take a video with today's date on a piece of paper showing it working and meet them in a public place nearby.

Considering how flakey so many CL buyers are, I wouldnt go out of my way at all to meet half way with such a huge item that is priced well.

My recent experience:

CL seller had Marshall 1960BX cab for sale. Sketchy pics and didn't want to send more because it was "excellent", as it was only used in his "home studio".

We agree to meet half way trip for each of us. I'm happy saved me some gas.

He arrives at preset place., 1/2 hour late.

Is hauling the cab loose in the BED of his truck. Ok.

Immediately starts talking fast and then says "I bought it from a dude with a home studio"...

Hmmmm...

Pulls it off truck....its hammered. Scuffs, tears, and the Marshall logo was cracked, re-glued and rattle can painted white with drips and fingerprint stucks.

I told him forget it and thanks for wasting my time.

He gets all butt hurt. I tel him WTF brah you said "excellent" in your ad. He says "I said good". He shakes his head and pissy drives away.

I find his ad, screenshot it with the "excellent" description and text him with it. He says FU to me.

I love CL people. Low Life sh!t.

I then flagged his ads for weeks until he gave up posting the junk.

CL posts are the best, Id say "time and place" meaning everything has its. Obviously you dont want it that bad, or youd just find a way to go get it. The seller's made an attempt to accomodate, now its your turn.
