It's like Queensryche, Triumph, Rush, had a baby.

And called it Pagan's Mind.

Love this new song.

Ok, now I have to give these guys a chance after hearing your description. Love all those bands.

Eddie Trunk had the new 'ryche song on last night....sounded a lot different that they normally do...anyone else hear it?

Their early albums were more metal though.

Pagan's Mind for the WIN...best prog band out there right now...that's my story and I've been sticking to it for years!

Pretty cool...heard of these guys but never listened to them before.

I like them, until the singer does the odd-ball efx crap. Their newest is listenable, because there's less of it. heh

Nice daneyo - I like. RUSH and Triumph are obvious monster bands. Played a ton their material in MOZEZ. Queensryche on the other hand bores the f'n crap out of me that words cannot accurately describe.

They're a little less Proggy now, a little more accesible to a bigger audience. But the thing is, they'd be HUGE if it was 1987 or 88. Too bad most young people here in the States that used to support rock music are listening to bullshit.

any song that opens with a kick ass metal scream is tops in my book ...

Rage For Order, Mindcrime and Empire are some of my all time favorites! DeGarmo was an amazing guitarist/songwriter. To each their own though. ;)

young people...whippersnappers!

Being how big a band like DT is it always shocks me a little that this band doesn't get a little more juice...but the DT universe is an odd thing...so maybe it shouldn't be so surprising

Hey now G - I got an open mind. I just remember falling asleep to some of the material I heard from them early on. I'll check out the three you mentioned, with a open mind. :student:

Listened to the track you posted...very good description. Have to score some now.

Some of my fondest musical memories were during the 2nd half of the 80's with those three albums wearing out my home and car stereo's. Then, after Empire it all went to complete hell. QR = such a big dissappointment since Chris left. They had already started to go downhill fast. Chris was smart enough to jump ship and go flying for a living before Geoff and Michael completely tarnished the QR name for good.

Still love to pull-out the LiveCrime DVD now and then to reminisce about the good old days. Chris was in top form on that DVD.

Definitely an old school 80's metal non-modded Marshall type tone going there. I remember getting very similar tones from a stock TS9 into a Marshall Studio 15 way back when.

A very refreshing blast from the past (and yet new)...
