It's my turn to give back...via a blues licks competition!

Alright boys, we've all had our fun doing neo soul phrases wars. Many of our brothers fell on the battlefield because their lydian and dorian licks weren't up to snuff; now it's time to change it up with the first ever (at least that I recall) blues lick challenge over a backing track.

Post up your best 30 seconds or so blues based composition. You can improvise, you can compose, but post it up and the winner gets a prize bought and paid for by yours truly.

You can post up Texas blues, Mississippi blues, or the uber sad yet melodic Gary Moore style blues. Me and @VonBonfire will confer on who the winner is (unless he finally throws his hat in the ring) and I will award you the prize and the blues kimg crown.

You have a week. Next Monday afternoon, I will make a decision.

Lol no it did not. The new tubes were drawing as much current as the old tubes, so it was still biased at what the factory set it at. I may make it a wee bit hotter over the next couple weeks, but for now I'm happy with it.

Cool. While bias is an interesting subject, if it's set at around spec sheet voltage usually there's really not that much that needs to be done unless you got some really odd tubes.

Not sure if I'm going to be able to participate in this one or not. Too much shit going on this week but I'd like to.

noooo dirt boxes necessary in my man cave.

but how the fuck do you upload MP4s on here. tells me its not eligible file

I think it will let you upload anything inside a zip archive. That's how I did the mp3 for the neo soul competition.

I’d just make a Soundcloud account and upload everything there. The upload function here is for smaller files like pics and GIFs. A zip archive is a file that’s been compressed into a teeny little folder, which is how it’s able to get uploaded here, but you’d be adding some steps to the process you likely don’t want to get into.
 
I just freed up my musical calendar and no longer have any obligations to tend to this week, I’ll see how many Gilmour licks I can shove over one backing track!

All nice entries so far....

Things are quickly getting more serious than the neo-soul thread and there aren't even any prizes on the line.:LOL:
