It's Official the ADA 3TM........

KICKS SO MUCH ASS!!!!!!

Just got done A/B-ing it with a stock MP-1, now I have always liked the MP-1, but the 3TM is a whole other beast, this thing just SMOKES the stock MP-1 easily.

Lots o' gain of course, EQ seems much more responsive, it's very touch responsive which is nice (reminds me of a Mark IV in those repects), It's thick and very 3D sounding. Just freaking AWESOME!!!!

BY FAR one of the BEST Preamps I've had.

I got a chance this morning to plug it into the VHT and into BOTH of my 4x12s...(my neighbors probably love me right now)....Talk about MASSIVE tone.

O.K. I'm done. eventually I'll get some clips done once I get the rest of my rack gear here and get it dialed in the way I want it.

But I'm VERY happy with it.

did you change the trimpot on the 3TM as I mentioned?

also, heres another clip I recorded a while back. The drums, synth, etc.. are from a live track we use in the band. I added the guitars and solo on top.

Nah, I've had the JMP-1 and while it is a cool preamp, I like this one MUCH better, it's just got alot more character. The JMP-1 just seemed kinda lifeless to me, but I had it the same time I had my Langner so it was no contest there......

Very cool! I was gonna send in mine to get modded but didn't hear back and I kinda forgot about it until recently. I'd love to try one out again since last time I had one my setup wasn't that great.

Right now, I own a JMP-1, a stock MP-1, and an MP-1 Classic.

Both ADA's sound better than the Marshall IMO.

I still think my Egg IE-4 smokes all 3 of those.

The first modules were single channel, early in 2000's, before the Randall MTS Series (which Bruce designed).
