I've always liked this band

Unleash The Archers. Some of their older albums lack production, but when APEX came out, I really liked it. A lot of their songs have similar intros, but I really enjoy listening to them. I know they use AxeFx for recording and I dig their tone... its funny to see them with real amps in these videos.

Quite a few songs remind me of 80's power metal ala Helloween.

Ah...pucking Helloween, now that makes me think of Grim Reaper, Manowar and a ton of people & memories I hadn't reflected on in a long long time. Oh the 80s...good stuff!
