I took lessons from Chris Broderick years ago and he actually does sound like that. Classically trained, plays some beautiful stuff that is very inspiring. He is much more than a djent player this ad is making him out to be. His shred is unbelievable at times and he was a great teacher. I couldn't do sweeps at all and he taught me in a very short time the theory and variations. Awesome player, easily top five shredders for me.

i remember watching him doing classical stuff on youtube before he joined Megadeth, he is the real deal, phenomenal musician

I know he uses those damn thumb picks...anyone know which ones?

Natalia is one of my favorite songs ever. John Williams does the best cover IMO: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_JbU14Bi4E

One of my favorite albums was Itzahk Perlman and John Williams playing Paganini. I was in my early classical guitar phase (Bouree etc) and that album opened up my eyes a bit on how I approach things. It made me view it as Williams playing rhythm and Perlman playing a soloist lead when converting these things to electric. I hybrid pick finger pick now a days on electric as I couldn't get the tone for violin part finger picking

as far as the Jackson add I thought the classical smoked the Jackson ;)
