Hey Phil,

I tried a white one at Italmelodie when they first came out.
I seem to recall they were nice at the time (for the $, not sure if the price went up)

Not bad for the money but imo watch ebay and score a USA production Charvel for around $650. OFR and SD pups standard equipment.

Actually, what you should do is go to GC and score a solid black or red one for $300 + tax NEW! I've had two. The 1st one I payed $470 for and I thought it was well worth it. Sold it as I really didn't need it though. But when I saw it again at $321 out the door, I bought one again as its a STEAL! Besides, the USA Chavels don't have a sculpted heel which is a deal breaker for me and may or may not be for you.

Yeah I forgot about some of the low gc prices, can't go too wrong for $320

If you can snag one for under $400 and it plays / sounds great, go for it.

Unfortunately, it goes for $800 :(
So I would need to buy it online. But on the up side, the CAD dollar is up to $0.92 against the US dollar.

And JC, yes I tried it at Ital.

I was really impressed by the one I played. I always liked Jackson neck thrus, but for some reason I always hated the way their bolt-on's felt and played. This one was different and I really liked it. The neck is a bit meatier than the typical Ibanez RG shredder if that matters to you. I'd still yank the JB out, but that's just me. It was a good guitar for being in the mid $600's and fantastic if you can score it sub $400.

If it was $600 I would have bought it.
I looked on the web and I saw a BIN for $599 USD.

I have to calculate shipping + tax + import duties and see if it's a good deal.
It's not trans black though...

remember playing one a while back. played and sounded great, but the jackson bridge was aweful

Had a DK2M Crimson Swirl if that's the guitfiddle we're talking about, came to the following conclusion:

JBsounded awful in it..and wasn't enamoured with teh 59 either.
Bridge was stiff feeling
Not so much a fan of the jackson neck as an ibby neck..slightly thicker and plasticky feeling...but then the Ibby guitars I owned were much more expensive than the $499 I paid for the DK2M Crimson Swirl.

This guitars are pretty much a bargain at the $300/$350 blow out prices I've seen tho'...I was lucky enough to sell mine before the bottom dropped out on 'em but it still cost me $75 to own it for a few months.. LOL

Well, I went other store and I found the same guitar except it was last years model.
The finish is pure black which I like.
Tried it, loved it, bought it.

The price was $620. I couldn't resist at that price.
I've been playing it for a good hour. Adjusted the pickup height and the action and it's really great.
No buzzing or anything.
