Bought this body at a swap meet. Seller wasn't sure of the year, but said early 2000's Japan body. No neck with it.

Bitchin! The letter after the DK2 was throwing me off. I saw the DK2M's were dual humbucker bodies.

Not an expert but I thought the M was for the maple fret board models.

You are correct.

After taking it to my local guitar shop, the neck pocket was bigger than the mighty mite jackson necks they had. Unsure if a neck off ebay is worth the risk, or be patient and wait for the shop to dig through their horde and come up with something. Also need to find a better Floyd for it, old one has rusty hardware. I have an orig. FR off a bc rich, the posts line up, but those horizontal adjusters are in the rear rather than in the middle.

Ebay is littered with Jackson necks, just get a DK neck.

Neck wise, all Jackson necks have a 2 and 1/4" neck pocket versus the 2 and 3/16" of a standard Fender or any Fender licensed product. That's why the Mighty Mite wouldn't fit. If you were to order a neck I know Musikraft builds necks with that heel width as an option, usually for no upcharge.
